How to play

Two short guides: one to read out to the players, one for the grown-up running the game.

For players

  1. 1Scan the QR code or open the link your host gives you.
  2. 2Pick a character and a fun crew name — not your real name.
  3. 3Read the story and your first clue.
  4. 4Go to the place, find the card or solve the puzzle, then type your answer.
  5. 5Stuck? Tap for a hint. There's no rush and no penalty.
  6. 6Solve the last clue to reach the treasure!

For the host

  1. 1Before the party: open the setup guide, hide each card where it says and tick off the materials checklist.
  2. 2Start a game and show the QR code. One phone per team works well; for very young kids, play on your own phone and read aloud.
  3. 3During the game: the dashboard shows who joined, which clue each team is on and a live map. You can show answers or skip a clue if a team is stuck.
  4. 4When you're done, end the session. Game links stop working 24 hours after the game starts anyway.

💡 Tips for a great hunt

  • Walk the route yourself before guests arrive.
  • Keep hiding spots at kid height and away from the kitchen, stairs and anything hot or sharp.
  • Have a small reward ready at the end — the story tells you where it goes.
  • For ages 4–6, an adult reading the clues aloud makes it more fun for everyone.
