Privacy policy
Who we are
AdventureForge creates treasure hunts for children's parties. The full legal name and address of the company responsible for your data will be added here before launch.
What we store when you create an adventure
The details you enter in the creator (ages, number of children, theme, room and object names, notes) and the adventure you edit. During the preview you don't need an account or email address.
What we store about players
A random player id, an optional crew name, the character picked, and game progress such as answers, hints used and clues solved. We do not ask for real names, photos, contact details or locations of children.
What we never ask for
Your address or any real location. Places in an adventure are symbolic (“behind the curtain”), and text that looks like an address is rejected.
Your browser
This browser keeps a list of the adventures you created (with their private edit links) in local storage, so you can find them again. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and the preview has no analytics.
Technical data
Like any website, our servers see your IP address. We use it briefly to limit abuse (for example, too many games started per hour). Our hosting provider may keep server logs; details will be listed before launch.
How long we keep data
Game links stop working 24 hours after a game starts, or earlier when the host ends it. Fixed retention periods for adventures and game progress will be set before launch.
Service providers
We plan to host in the EU. A list of the providers that process data for us (such as hosting, payments, email and AI generation) will be published here before any of them handles your data.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Contact us via the contact page. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
